promised to blog... been really lazy these days, just wanna slag around before sch starts or else ill be really held up with work and assignments once my semester starts on the 6th of March. just havnt been having the motivation to do anything significant on my blog these days, but dun worry... you'll be seeing more things soon - i hope! well, anyway... for a start, this is TMR's famous virgin win in hexic! the ability to get one black pearl is tough enuff... and to combine 3 black pearls to win the game - is a mark of a genius! and there can only be ONE - themindreader!

well, anyway... today, our dearest Clown King Lyson (CKL) went back to Sydney for his last semester of university studies. isnt it sad...? sad for us that we wont have someone to bully when he's not around, and sad for him cos it might mean that he'll be out of sch very very soon...

well, generally... once we get out of uni, we walk into another stage of your life, one where you start to have more responsibilty over yourself and your family, one where you'll no longer be able to skip class/work just bcos you wan to cos your boss is not gonna allow any form of bad attitude or lack of self discipline. and the sudden change in lifestyle might be difficult for some to take... office politics come into the picture, long working hrs rather than just that 15-20hrs of sch/work each week, more stress... more white hair (in time to come)... less time for friends and family... less time to slack around and watch SCV... less opportunities to have late late nights and suppers... well, basically the whole life just changes beyond description! UNLESS.... and unless... you're a filthy rich kid who just doesnt wanna work and just wants to slack your whole life away. doesn't the thought scare u? the thought of graduation... the thought of a totally different lifestyle... but well, i guess everyone's gotta go thru it. it just depends on how well one is able to accept changes in their lives and how well they're able to adapt to this fast changing world. so some of you might be asking, what's my future career gonna be, how do i plan to adapt to all the changes that will come. seriously... im still working on it. no concrete plans as yet... but a couple of options available which im gonna continue working on. like i mentioned before, pple mention about mid-life crisis... well, i believe this is gonna be the mid-midlife crisis for most youngsters who finish sch and start moving on to their first full-time job. for me, i still have 4 sems to go... seems pretty long cos i can actually finish it in 2-3... but i guess i really do need some time to gather my thoughts on certain issues in life.

enuff of sch... things have been going well for my relationship and for my family. off to Ikea and IMM with hun tomorrow to buy some stuff, other errands for her to make before she flies off with her business partner to Bangkok on tue. well, why am i not going?!? what else can it be... WORK WORK WORK... i need to earn money, the lack of it is frustrating, especially when im saving up for a gd purpose. so, as she goes shopping and eating her heart out, ill be talking and talking till my voice goes off... lucky her, poor me!

would like to talk more about life... realise that these days, i think alot more maturely about how life should or should not be. about how humans can be motivated, about how true happiness is brought about and about how to maintain gd relationships and the art of learning how to love - be it with your other half, or your family members. i could perhaps write a book. but im too lazy. you know i am. i cant help it... but i guess this is something i have to improve on in my life. but anyway, right now... as the laziness sets in, talking about life should be left to another day.

Food for thought: everyone wants to be happy... but sometimes, do u ever start thinking to yourself why some pple can be happy all their lives and live past all kinds of traumas and setbacks, while others just crumble all the time at any sight of failure? why? what makes pple so different. its easy to understand... but do u know? do you know why you are who you are?

its all in your mind - you know it makes sense!

For those who know me, you should know that i love motivational quotes. They never fail to keep me motivated in my life, in good or bad, happy or sad times, it just keeps a person going strong. Whatever the case, never lose sight of your life, because there's always HOPE at the end of the tunnel... Never give up, and you'll eventually get what you want! Live with Passion!

Hope is never lost... only found

Clyde W. LeFevre

Hope… what an incredibly wonderful four letter word.

Hope is like a single, radiant ray of sunshine that breaks through from the heavens on a dreary, rainy, overcast day. And hope is like the breath-taking, almost too beautiful for words rainbow that graces the heavens after the clouds have drifted away.

A glimmer of hope, even if it’s just a scant flicker at this very moment in time, is all you really need to turn your life completely around. Yet, far too few of us hold inside of ourselves the promise of hope. We had it; in fact, most of us have hoped for all sorts of things throughout the years. But instead of turning our hopes and dreams into realities, we’ve somehow allowed precious hope to slip away over the years.

Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.
Dale Carnegie

Why do so many of us lose hope, eventually giving up on living the lives we’ve dreamed of living? The harsh realities of life probably have a lot to do with it. The difficulties, obstacles and assorted problems that each and every one of us face daily hammer relentlessly away at our hopes, dreams and aspirations, often leaving them torn and shattered in the process.

Rather than fiercely hanging on to hope, some of us start settling for less than we had hoped for, less than we thought we could accomplish. We don’t mean to, we don’t want to; but we do nonetheless. We no longer truly believe that our dreams can come true.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul. And sings the tune without the words, and never stops at all.
Emily Dickinson

If your zeal for living starts getting lost in the shuffle, you need to tenaciously hang on to the rope of hope. And if your expectations of a better life start giving way to life’s troublesome toils and tribulations, you need to clutch that rope as if your life depended on it — because it does.

Without hope, we begin losing faith that miracles can come true in our lives. And with hope no longer our constant companion, we begin to give up on making our dreams come alive — eventually finding ourselves mired in some sort of hopeless funk. But for those who choose to emphatically embrace hope, even if they have lost it for a while, they quickly reenergize their lives and reinvigorate their enthusiasm for living.

Hope is the only bee that makes honey without flowers.
Robert Ingersoll

Nothing is impossible for those who refuse to give up on hope, those courageous individuals who reject the notion that all is lost. By keeping the faith — in both their God given gifts and their ability to weather each and every storm tossed their direction — they ultimately discover that hope is right where it’s been all along, right by their side every step of the way.

You too need to keep your hopes and dreams alive and well. Anytime and anywhere you start feeling hope beginning to slip from your grasp, I urge you to zero in on the good things life has to offer and then, more than anything else, grab the rope and hold on — with all of your might. By tightly gripping the rope of hope and refusing to let go, life’s bothersome worries and hassles will eventually subside and slip out of sight — and out of your way — for good.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “Everything that is done in the world is done by hope.” No one could have said it better.

The Bottom Line: More can be accomplished with a little bit of hope than a whole lot of most everything else.

hey peeps, i know i havnt been blogging for awhile. been really busy with work and exam... and its finally over! well, at least studies is over until beginning of march. exam din really go very well, but well... i guess i should still be able to get a credit (60-70). but who cares, cos i aint in the mood to talk about studies when im off on a short trip to malaysia over the weekend with little yan. hee. anyway, just gonna take a few days off the stress in Singapore and get my ass back to work on tuesday. sometimes, breaks are just so impt to our lives, for without it, i wont be able to move on to bigger things.

anyway, just last week, i got a call from a law firm asking me if i was available to help them out. well, its not exactly a surprise, considering i did work there in the past and i guess they pretty much like me. and so, they've actually opened a new dept, International Filing, whereby patents and trademarks are done for international companies all over the world. and they're actually thinking of employing me to help them out since i have some experience in psychology and marketing which in this era, is really impt cos of the way you try to understand pple and also in marketing your product - in this case, marketing patents. gonna be a really gd experience for me if i manage to get the job, cos then ill be dealing and liasing with my other international law firms around the globe. but not quite a done job yet, cos ive got myself a contract with Starhub all the way till aug, and honestly speaking, the consultant job im in right now isnt that bad cos of its flexibility and pay. but well, as time comes, i guess ill know what to do. will be going down for an interview in march though... will see how it goes.

well, before i go off on my trip, hey sorry... i still have work till 5pm tomorrow before i head to malaysia, cant help it... im too hardworking, and i need the $$$ to survive... here are some clips ive attached for your viewing pleasure. some of them might a little slow to load, but fear not, just pause it, allow it some time to heat up its engine, and have a gd laugh yeah... will be back to add more next week. feel free to leave your comments as to the kind of videos you would like to see.

just a little something here to help myself destress as i continue studying for my International Marketing paper. here is something from my marketing text.

When translating from a foreign language into english, literal translation can yield hilarious results as the following collection of 'bloopers' shows:

  • the lift is being fixed for the next day. during that time we regret that you will be unbearable (Romania).
  • you are invited to take advantage of the chambermaid (Japan).
  • because of the impropriety of entertaining guests of the opposite sex in the bedroom, it is suggested that the lobby be used for this purpose (Switzerland).
  • if this is your first visit to the USSR, you are welcome to it (Russia).
  • Ladies are requested not to have children in the bar (Norway).
  • the manager has personally passed all the water served here (Mexico).
  • drop your trousers here for the best results (Thailand).
  • ladies have fits upstairs (HK).
  • we take your bags and send them in all directions (Denmark).
  • pls do not feed the animals. if you have any suitable food, pls give it to the guard on duty (Hungary).
you know it makes sense!
